Grovespring is a Recognized Riding Academy with the United States Hunter Jumper Association.
Our Teachers
Our certified trainers love horses and care about teaching people to communicate well with them. The school horses are also experienced, safe teachers.
THE
Ride Out
The ride out at Grovespring offers the opportunity to improve strength and balance over uneven terrain while enjoying nature—practice crossing creeks, learn what to do when encountering deer, and see great blue herons and the occasional osprey and bald eagle on the pond.
Riding Lessons
Private, semi-private, and group lessons are available. Children ride in the afternoon after school Monday through Thursday and on Saturdays. Adult groups are on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Friday afternoons. Homeschool lessons are available during the day.
Lesson Types
Ring, trail, and field lessons are available. We have educated school horses. Riders who want to jump more than once a week are encouraged to purchase or lease a horse. School horses are available for half-lease.
Activities
We take students riding to hounds from September to March, local shows, and the occasional rated show from April to September.
